A painting in Rue des Beaux Arts in Paris, France.

A quiet street of art galleries and luxury buildings in the center of La Ville Lumiere.
Oscar Wilde died in a hotel in this street (at n.13), in 1900. Now there is an art gallery at n. 4bis, but in 1971 were a hotel and Jim Morrison, frontman of The Doors, with his girlfriend Pamela Courson lived us.
And then I have passed to paint there…
Cloudy day but with some ray of sun, buildings with neutral tonalities and evident contrasts only visible in shadow areas on the sidewalks.
It’s almost entirely a watercolor painted with the veilings technique.
